About This Spot
Stepping into Balazzo Brozzi is like settling into a cherished local nook where time drifts gently, inviting you to slow down and savor the simplicity around you. Nestled quietly in Nürnberg’s Hochstraße, this café-restaurant carries an unpretentious charm that instantly feels familiar. The soft hum of conversation blends with the clinking of cups, and the welcoming nods from the staff gently remind you that you’re in a place built for lingering moments.
The atmosphere unfolds at a comfortable pace — neither rushed nor too idle — making it an ideal retreat for a weekend brunch or a quiet afternoon refuge. The back garden offers a subtle hint of nature’s calm, a little sanctuary where patrons quietly enjoy their coffee or a thoughtfully prepared plate. The space caters gracefully to a mix of visitors, from families with little ones to those seeking a contemplative pause with a book or laptop, creating a mosaic of everyday life woven together by a shared sense of ease.
Balazzo Brozzi’s kitchen is quietly playful, crafting dishes that feel both grounded and spirited. Your meal might arrive with the comforting warmth of hearty stews or the fresh brightness of a carefully layered cake, always paired with a coffee brewed with care – whether an espresso or an iced cappuccino, each sip brings a gentle pleasure. There’s a feeling here that the menu isn’t just about food, but about moments: a soft slice of homemade cake enjoyed alongside soft conversation, or a favorite savory bite that feels like a small celebration of flavors and textures.
What stays with you after a visit is this mood of gentle conviviality and unforced friendliness. The kind of place where the staff’s warmth feels sincere, offering not just plates and drinks, but subtle connections—a tip about a local art show, a smile across the room, the cozy murmur of shared time. In Balazzo Brozzi, the everyday becomes quietly special, anchored by good company, inviting tastes, and a calmness that invites you to return again and again.

lovely place, to study on sunday afternoons for example. Good coffee and tasty fresh dishes. Friendly staff as well. You can also find there good tips about the local culture and art scene.

Do yourself a favor and eat here when the cook, Lukas is working. Always an interesting dish of two, ordering is self-service, the folks here are friendly. A few two many young families for middle aged DINKS for us, but a cool atmosphere.

Quaint, chill, and oldschool place to enjoy a cup of coffee and eat a hearty brunch on a weekend morning. Iced capuccino and espresso are a must try. Especially recommended to sit outside in the garden at the back of the place.

Good brunch buffet, kids and toddlers are welcome. Not pretentious, just relaxed and bright e.g for a rainy day brunch ideal with friends and kids.

This the best cafe in Nuremberg! They have beverages, cake and a few weekly changing dishes - all with vegetarian and vegan options as well. Also the interior and outside is really nice and cozy. Absolute Recommendation!

Very special place, cosy atmosphere with brocante furniture, delicious vegan & vegetarian meals and wines, coffee and homemade pastry - try the 'Himbeersahne'. Goulash like my mother made it, with the real blend of diverse spices

Cozy and Centric brunch spot in Nurnberg. Great food and good atmosphere, with special decoration inside, very artistic place. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options and big portions. Just a shame you can only pay with cash, as it can be inconvenient. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!
